VETERAN ADVOCACY

PROGRAMS, TOOLS & RESOURCES

The unique feature of the Southern Nevada Veterans Chamber of Commerce is our focus directing our chamber proceeds from member dues, fundraising, etc solely on increasing the brand awareness and community visibility of veteran-advocate programs that are offering support in areas outside of professional or personal development; but instead, offering support in the imporvement of overall quality of life. Areas where a critical need exists for increased awareness such as veteran homelessness, substance abuse and addiction, suicide prevention support, military spouse support resources, physical/mental health and wellness, financial education and planning strategies, supplemental healthcare options outside of the VA, and others.

The mission cornerstone of Veteran Advocacy is what truly separates the SNVCC as an organization operating in the specific interest of the veteran community. Founded, lead, and operated by veterans and military dependents, the SNVCC strives to be highly engaged with the needs of our veteran community.

Areas of need that range from veteran suicide awareness and prevention; substance addiction, and veteran homelessness; the need for supplementary healthcare plans for veterans in our community; career opportunity and connecting for veterans; coping with service-connected trauma and disabilities i.e. PTSD and other physical and mental-wellness related challenges that affect our veteran community.... and many other issues that require support in our community. The SNVCC wants to add to the community toolbox of resources and manpower for addressing these issues for our veterans.
